Daniel Levin, DVM

Dr. Daniel Levin has been practicing veterinary medicine in South Florida for the past 30 years. He earned his bachelor's degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida, where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.

Dr. Levin has dedicated himself to providing superior medicine and care to all of his patients, and he firmly believes that each pet should be treated with love, respect, and dignity. He specializes in small animal medicine and has a special interest in preventative medicine.

Dr. Levin is a longstanding member of several veterinary organizations including the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA), and the Broward County Veterinary Medical Association (BCVMA).

Beyond providing great medical care to all his patients, Dr. Levin believes strongly in giving back to the community. He is a proud supporter of local pet events and actively raises funds for Dance Marathon at the University of Florida, an organization that raises funds and awareness for children at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. Dr. Levin's daughters, Paige and Alyssa, are proud alumnae of the program.

In his spare time, Dr. Levin enjoys travel, reading, and football. As a UF alum and an avid Gators fan, he loves supporting the home team. But most importantly, he enjoys time with his wife, Julie, his children, and his family pets.

Jacqueline S. Shellow, D.V.M., M.S.

Dr. Jacqueline Shellow works part time at Embassy Lakes Animal Hospital.

She graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Shellow attended Stephens College and then the University of Kentucky where she obtained a Masters degree in equine nutrition. In 1994, she was certified in veterinary acupuncture by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, and in 1998, certified in animal chiropractic by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Shellow is Past President of the Florida Association of Equine Practitioners where she currently serves as a FAEP Council Member. She was appointed to the Executive Board of the Florida Veterinary Medical Association and is on the FVMA Legislative Committee. The FVMA named Dr. Shellow as a 2010 Gold Star Award winner for her work as liaison between the FVMA and the FAEP, and in 2014 she was the FVMA’s Veterinarian of the Year.

Dr. Shellow has worked with TFB Equine since graduating from veterinary school, was a track veterinarian for Hollywood Greyhounds, and currently fills in as a track veterinarian at Gulfstream Park and at Palm Beach Kennel Club. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Shellow enjoys spending her time with her family and animals, and traveling. She also loves to spend time swimming, biking, running, and practicing yoga.
